I read this through last night (took a print-out home and read it on the couch with my throw blanket) and it was wonderful, truly wonderful. I love Goku's subtley drawn and realistic growing pains. When he opted to stay with Hakkai and Gojyo for the night, letting the proud monk walk home in the promised rain, I felt a pang for their seperation, and I remember thinking something like "that's not how it's supposed to be--the monkey and the monk, always together." And I love how Goku just burst out with his admission of love--so inelegant, so honest and perfect. A great story. I'm truly starting to love this archive, since almost everything I've read is so well done and very fulfilling emotionally. Thank you for posting this. I hope you have the time/inspiration to finish, because I would dearly love to read the rest.

I remember how much I adored this story on FF.Net, but I never gave much of a review then. I definitely can't wait for the next chapter, and I hope that somehow the frequency of your updates will increase (wishful thinking... ignore me, if you will)

I'm not much of a consumer of the Sanzou/Goku pairing in all its versions, but this story ... is a good one! (It no doubt helps that Goku comes across as older here than in the anime/manga.:) Are you planning to write more on this, or...? |
