*g* Maybe Goku will one day understand the full meaning of his name added to his 'buddha nature'. Loved this line - If Sanzo had been a more sensitive man, he would have winced for making such a comment to a person who had sat in a cave for five hundred years without eating. But he wasn’t, so he didn’t. This was boo-ti-ful.

Author's Response: Actually, there is talk about the meaning of Goku's name in my other story "Rechargeable". Can you believe I nearly cut that line that you quoted? Guess that proves I should leave my stories alone. Thank you for reading.

brilliant, thought out and well written. very nice, even humorous piece..i'm surprised Sanzo didn't have an apoplectic fit when Goku took his robes off! ^_~. sadly i have not read the original and the essay you mention sounds interesting too! if you think you're a geek! hooray for geeks...me i'm nurturing the next generation of geeks myself!- lol-zan

Author's Response: I'm glad you found it funny. I was really worried that it wouldn't be humourous with all the Buddhist questions flying around! I think Sanzo was in too much shock from the fact that Goku actually did that to actually have a fit. He just wanted to end the situation! Not many people have read the original and I've only read it because of the anime Saiyuki. And I'm not surprised no one has read the essay. I just happened to do the story for a research project and needed sources! It's a really cool essay, try to get it from a college library. Nurturing the next generation?
