So touching! I can just see Gojyo blowing raspberries on the baby’s tummy and the baby squealing in delight. And just as believable is Gojyo’s reaction to his loss. You write Gojyo and Hakkai very well.

Author's Response: Thank you! ^^ I think my unhealthy obsession with Gojyo and Hakkai helps me in that aspect, yeah. ^^; I'm glad this story 'did it' for you.

Ew. The Prince. Dislike greatly. And Gojyo is so effing adorable with the kid. :D And I usually don't catch the blink-an-you'll-miss-it pairings, but I actually GOT this one!

Author's Response: I'm such a flake. When I first read your review, I was all, "What prince? I don't remember a prince being in there..." I had to reread my own story to figure out what you mean. And yes, that book was evil. ._.; Yay for blink-and-you'll-miss-it done right! *dances* I'm glad you liked this one.

i like your take on how Gojyo would take to parenting, and yes he does come off as being good with children.
actually for me all the ikkou are each in their own different ways.
"Gojyo says nothing because it hurts him too much to acknowledge that he'd love her. Hakkai says nothing because it would hurt Gojyo." This is so completely who they are together. The ending while not overly optimistic is hopeful. I think this comes through in all your fics...that there is hope in and amongst all the dark that seems to be their lives.
I love this as I love all of your other fics.-lol.

Author's Response: I don't think that Gojyo is selfish, except for perhaps when it comes to things that really hurt him. The line comes off as sounding kind of selfish, but that's Gojyo--he'd be too absorbed in his own pain to think of Hakkai's, and besides, he probably knows that Hakkai worries enough for the both of them. ._.;; I do try to give a mild sense of hope in all the shit, because it seems a more realistic approach to me than the "oh they can do anything at all no matter what" tone that the series occasionally takes. They have these incredible powers, yeah, but they're all very limited and human characters in the end, and hope often feels like an invisible beam of light to us mortals. ^^; Anyhow, thanks for reading and liking once more. ^_^
