There is something wrong. With him, with his heart.
His heart which is broken. And not in the trite sense.
Broken in the sense that there is something not quite right. In the sense that there is something missing. There is something different.
He knows that this is some deficiency and tries so very hard to cover it up.
He fights and won’t back down. He snarls and curses so that nobody will guess. They won’t try.
But sometimes, just sometimes he feels so empty. Feels something inside him breaking.
Which can’t be right.
Because he knows he’s already broken.
