“It’s cold.”

Kougaiji opened his eyes to look at Sanzo. It was the middle of the night and nearing winter. The inn they were staying at only had thin blankets, not nearly enough to keep either one of them warm.

“Want me to light fires in the corners of the room?” the redhead asked the blond sleepily.

“No.” That was the truth.

A small lazy smile appeared on the youkai’s face. “Do you want me to hug you?”

“No.” Aaah…and that was a lie.

Kougaiji rolled over onto his side and wrapped his arms around Sanzo. The monk sighed contentedly.
