The Owlish Man and the Cock-a-Roach by Zan

The Owlish Man and the Cock-a-Roach went to the Eastern Sea
In a practical army green transport
They took a Monkey, no need for money
But a Gold-Card for support
The Owlish Man looked up to the stars above
And spoke in a small whisper
“What lovely red hair and eyes you have
Like blood to me they are
They are
They are
Like blood to me they are”

Roach turned back to him, “Like elegant sins
They do drip disarmingly
O long have we traveled! At you I still marvel
May I seduce you charming-ly?”
He never was answered and still they continued
To the land where the Bull Demon slept
There to a castle on a hill they crept
With weapons at the ready, to fight
To fight
To fight
With weapons at the ready to fight

There in the castle, the Gold-Card unraveled
All aglow, clasped hands and “Makai Tenjyo!”
So they went away and in an inn the next day
The Roach once again posed his request
He wined him with sake and dined him with dim sum
Which they ate dipped in sweet chilli sauce
With Owl’s arm in his hand, waves lapping on the sand
They necked with the wind in their hair
Their hair
Their hair
They necked with the wind in their hair!
