a beautiful sad piece, and definitely meant for re-reading...more than once! the first time i read it it was the leaf, a simple stark image.
and such a lovely heart rending last line.

This time when I read it, it was the capture of the leaf that got me. Other times it's been the prophetic dreaming or the teddy-book-about-fighting, but this time it was the leaf.
