Actually the scar wasn't an issue for me.

 I liked the story.  I like the tone and pace alot.  For me the only jar was Jesus.  I have difficulty with that because it's pretty christian/american/european and I can't figure out what to substitue for it.

 Over all I really like this piece.

I loved the way you saw the connection between belly scars, it parallels their shared bloody past (in TV Gojyo's words: "both of us haunted by memories like illusions in a sea of blood") Characterisation is accurate and touching in your masterful hands. Perhaps a bit TOO true to character, Hakkai would want to take things in moderation wouldn't he, but now Gojyo's not the only frustrated one :P...part two, pretty please? Also, I would buy a crayola called Gojyo Red hehehe

Author's Response: I want a Gojyo Red crayon, too. ^^; I had several people helpfully point out that Hakkai had the belly scar, not Gojyo, which made me sad, because it meant that they missed the entire point of the fic. Ah well. I've been considering a sequel because this has gotten such a great reception, but I have so many other Saiyuki fics to work on at this point, I don't think it'd be fair to put them aside just yet. ^^;
