There's more awesomeness in this piece than I can sum up. I can't even choose a favorite line or passage, because everything fits seamlessly and seems perfectly in place. Literally like every word was chosen. This absolutely made my day.

I... just... wow. This is beautiful. So utterly beautiful and them it hurts. I love the use of past and present. In actual fact, I like the moments of flashback more. The tension seeping through them... I could practically feel it. This is truly a beautiful story.

Wow. Just... -wow-. I love how you interspersed 'now' with 'then', how things that were done in the past were echoed in the present... Everything in this story was touching and beautiful. And your description of Konzen especially blew me away - the way you showed the stoic, perpetually annoyed man having to face true -fear- for the first time was just pure brillance... So much of this fic was. Another of my absolute favorite Saiyuki stories. I never normally say this, but thank you for writing such a piece of art.

Very nice, the extra added stuff makes it even more intense than v1.0! :) I'm not sure if the lyrics at the end is a good idea, though. On the one hand, it fits very well to the fic, but on the other hand the fic is more than powerful enough on its own and the lyrics blunt the last paragraph a bit. |
