How many people can really understand what it's like to be the odd man out, to be the only one left standing on the stage with no one there to congratulate them? It's such a harsh, lonely feeling, and I think you captured it well with this story. Koumyou Sanzo's entrance at the end of the story was touching as well - that Kouryuu has finally found a home where he can belong. If this really happened, it's no small wonder he'd be so loyal to the older Sanzo! I love this story!
