I love your characterization of Rufus, that you manage to justify, just a little his actions and his many layers in a drabble. Cloud was interesting too, with his reluctance to believe Shinra and the fact that he was still stuck on mourning Zack and Aerith and the stuff that had happened in Nibelheim, but still mourned alone.

Really, Rufus's line that the world is a stage really suit him, for who is a better candidate for an actor for someone who have to put up an appearance to the whole world?
